Privacy Policy
Last updated 5 November 2026
This policy explains what RPulse (the website at rpulse.app, the RPulse Discord bot and the RPulse game resource) collects, why, and what you can do about it.
What we collect
- From Discord when you sign in: your Discord user ID, username, display name and avatar (the
identifypermission), and the list of servers you're in with your permissions there (theguildspermission), so the dashboard can show the servers where RPulse is. We never see your password, email or messages, and we hand Discord's sign-in token back right after reading these. - From servers that use the bot: server ID and name, its roles, and which members have the roles linked to a roster. The bot uses this to keep ranks and Discord roles in step.
- From game servers: when you clock in or out, the time, the roster, and the game identifier the server sends (for example your Cfx.re or license ID), so shifts can be matched to you.
- Records your server staff create: your rank, callsign, rank history, strikes, warnings and notes, and documents attached to your roster.
- What you add yourself: profile picture, name, description, characters, friends and chat messages.
- Technical data: a session cookie to keep you signed in for up to 30 days (we store only a scrambled copy of it), and short-lived server logs (IP address, time, page requested) for security and fixing errors.
What we use it for
Only to run RPulse: showing rosters and profiles, logging shifts, syncing Discord roles, delivering chat and friend requests, sending you Discord messages about your own record (such as a promotion or a warning), and keeping the service secure. We don't sell your data, show ads, or use advertising or analytics trackers.
Who can see it
- Your public profile can be seen by other RPulse users.
- Roster data is visible to members of that server, and discipline records and "command only" documents only to the ranks the server chooses.
- Chat messages are visible to the people in that conversation or channel.
- We share data with service providers only as needed to run RPulse (our hosting provider, and Discord itself when the bot acts), or when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
As long as your account or your server's roster exists. When server staff delete a roster or record, it's removed. When you delete your account, your profile, friends and messages are deleted. A server can keep its own record of shifts and discipline for members, without your profile. Logs are deleted after 30 days, and backups roll over within 30 days.
Your choices
- Edit your profile at any time.
- Ask for a copy of your data, or for your account to be deleted, at the contact below.
- For records a server keeps about you, such as strikes, contact that server's staff first. We'll help if they don't respond.
- You can remove RPulse's access in Discord under User Settings → Authorized Apps.
Security
Data is sent over HTTPS and stored on a server with restricted access. No system is perfectly secure. If something goes wrong that affects your data, we'll tell you.
Children
RPulse is not for anyone under Discord's minimum age in their country.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll update the date above and announce big changes on the website.
